Mark Twain used to say how he never stopped smoking except when he was eating or sleeping! Towards the end of his days an old friend he had not seen for years called upon him and was/ surprised to find him at his advanced age still enjoying his cigar. “If I hadn’t smoked,” said Mark, “I’d have been dead ten years ago." The fact is tobacco calms and soothes the mind as nothing else can." “When worried,” said George R. Sim once, “I fly to my pipe for comfort and never in vain.” There are hundreds ol brands of tobacco but it may safely be said that none are purer or sweeter, none with a finer flavour or more delightful bouquet than the five toasted blends. It used to be asked. “Why toasted?" but everybody knows how that toasting rids these famous tobaccos of most of their nicotine and safeguards even the heavy smoker, who finds toasted nelthei affects the throat nor burns the tongue. ....
