DEAREST LITTLE PEOPLE,

The first parcel of good things has arrived for our Christmas Ship from June Wreford, Ma Waro. June has been a busy Toy-Maker and has sent two fine cloth elephants, two dolls, a gay scrap-book, and three needle-cases. That is a splendid parcel with which to begin loading our Ship. 1 wonder who will be the next Circlian to help swell its happy cargo? All Scrap-Books and Toys must reach me by December 10—so get busy, wont you, little people, for you have less than two months to complete your contributions. I want to give a very Special welcome to the ten new Circlians from the Girls’ Grammar School at far-away Suva, in the Fiji Islands. They tell me that as soon as more “Peter Pan Papers” and more Enrolment Forms arrive, their schoolmates are going to join as well. That is fine news, and they will all be warmly welcomed. It is splendid to know that little people across the seas enjoy reading our Paper, too. Our next Special Number is going to be called “ADVENTURE.” There is something exciting about the very word “Adventure.” To some it conjures up visions of distant pioneering days—of smugglers and pirates and bold buccaneers —of explorations into strange, unknown territory—of highwaymen and Indians and fierce wild animals in great tropical jungles. IF hat does the word “Adventure” mean to you, little people? Perhaps some of you have had exciting adventures yourselves and could tell us about them in picture, story, or verse. And you could all write imaginary adventure stories and poems, and draw adventure pictures, lam sure. Let’s see if we can have a really exciting Adventure Number three weeks from to-day. Love and Good Wishes, -■''r / .*/} FROM YOUR OWN / f
