BLOWING BUBBLES
Some soap and water in a bowl, And oh, my pipe with which to blow The brightest bubbles ever seen, With colours they are all aglow. Each crystal ball like prisms gleams. Then floats upon the sunlit air. To catch the gold from each sunbeam, And to the rainbow’s light compare. They do not last, my bubbles bright, A moment ere they sail away Above the tree-tops, swift and light, And where they go I cannot say. /
