TE NGAWAI There was a very good attendance of members and visitors at the October meeting of the Te Ngawai Women’s Institute. Miss Cooling gave an interesting report on the Federation meeting held in Waimate. Motions of sympathy were passed to the Campbell family and to Miss Cooling, members standing In silence. Miss Brown gave a very interesting demonstration on the making of fibre flowers, for which she was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The competitions resulted: 5/Dress: Miss Cooling 1, Miss Howes 2. Jar of Flowers: Miss Cooling 1, Miss Morrison 2. Bloom: Miss Howes 1, Miss Cooling and Miss Howes (equal) 2. Sultana Cake: Miss M. Morrison 1.
