TREE-DWELLER

FROM AFRICA Übangi, a strange human from Africa, a tiny tree-dweller only a few inches high, will be one of the attractions at the Timaru Show. Übangi is a female semi-savage member of a diminutive tribe, ruthless, barbaric, and unchanged by time, who slay with poisoned arrow and blow-dart. In their tree-top homes their playmates are the beasts of the jungle. Her food consists of honey, ants, juicy roots, berries, nuts, and she is particularly fond of slightly cooked venison. Her age is assumed to be about 30 years MODEL CITY Depicting in detail the life and bustle of a modern city in miniature the Mode? City exhibit is in the amusement section at the Timaru Show, and no visitor to the show should fall to see this wonderful exhibition. Street scenes, shops and law courts are realistically reproduced, and even a circus is included in the display. Everything is moving and working and being so faithfully reproduced that it is no wonder that everyone is talking about it. This mechanical exhibition is, in fact, the cleverest presentation that has ever visited Timaru.
