It was reported on Thursday that for the first time in medical history a woman, aged 17, who was suffering from Infantile paralysis, gave birth to a baby girl inside respirator, socall r I “iron lung,” at an Isol:.'ion hospital. Physicians reported that the mother wes doin'? well and the child had a fair chance of surviving. The child subsequently died.
