SHIPPING PORT OF TIMARU

Waterfront Empty The port was empty yesterday, and there will be only one arrival to-day, the Port Waikato, which is due this morning from Dunedin to load for Wellington and Auckland, via Lyttelton. The following list of steamers' movements Is compiled in accordance with advice supplied by agents foi the different Lines: EXPECTED ARRIVALS

COASTAL VESSELS Listed Movements The Holmglen, from Dunedin, is due on Sunday to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui, via Lyttelton. The Gale is due from Dunedin tomorrow to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui, via Lyttelton. The Breeze is expected from Dunecin on Wednesday to load for Wellington and Wanganui, via Lyttelton. The Wingatui is now due on Tuesday from Oamaru to load for Wellington and Auckland, via Lyttelton. The Waikouaiti, from Dunedin, is expected on Tuesday, and will sail the same day for Lyttelton.

The Waipahi, from Oamaru. is due on November 5 to load for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth, via Lyttelton. The Waimarino, from Dunedin, is expected on November 6 to load for Wellington and Auckland, via Lyttelton. Tekoa from West Coast of England The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Tekoa, which will discharge cargo from West Coast of England ports at Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin, is due at Timaru on Monday, November 28, to continue unloading. She will sail the following day for Lyttelton to complete discharge. Bencruachan to Load Wool The steamer Bencruachan has been chartered by George H. Scales Ltd. to load wool at Dominion ports for London and the Continent. She is due at Picton on December 12, and is to continue loading at Napier, Gisborne, Tolaga Bay, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Port Chalmers. She is due at Port Chalmers on Januaiy 1, and is to sail finally on January 5. Narbada from the East The Union Company’s steamer Narbada is scheduled to leave Calcutta on November 29 for Penang, Singapore, and Samarang, clearing the last port on December 11 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, and Bluff. She is due at Auckland about December 30. Forresbank from Nauru The Bank Line vessel Forresbank is loading phosphate at Nauru Island for discharge at Lyttelton, Ravensbourne, and Dunedin. She is due at Lyttelton on November 7 and at Ravensbourne on November 9. Personal Captain E. F. Hannon, well-known in Australian shipping circles as an officer in P. and O. liners, has resigned from the company’s service after sick leave. He served his time in the Australian trade aboard the full-rigged clipper Peleus, and during the war was an officer in submarines and in the armed merchant cruiser Macedonia. His last command was the P. and O. liner Naldera.
