Championship Awards Mr Andrew Grant Successful By Telegraph—Press Association HAMILTON, October 27. The Royal Show opened at the Claudelands Showgrounds to-day under unpleasant weather conditions, light showers falling at varying intervals throughout the day. Holden’s ‘‘Defiance of Te Puna.” Silver challenge cup by the Shorthorn Society of New Zealand for the best Shorthorn male or female, D. J. Holden's “Te Puna Duchess of Beau-* fort 3rd.” Jersey cow (New Zealand Jersey Cattle Breeders’ Association silver cup), A. Moreland and Sons’ “Beechland*s Fairy Sunray”; reserve , N. M.
