TENNIS CLUB The annual meeting of the Pareora West Tennis Club was held in the Otpua Hall on Tuesday night, when there was a fair attendance of members. The annual report and balancesheet, the latter revealing a credit of £2/17/24, were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr B. E. Evans; president, Mr A. Hill; secretarytreasurer, Miss M. Godwin; captain, Mr L. Jackson; vice-captain, Mr A. Tate; committee, Misses C. Whitefield, A. Stowell, N. Godwin, E. Arden, Messrs G. Tate, L. Jackson, G. Hoare, E. Hampton. The opening day was fixed for October 8. The annual subscription was left the same as last year.

PERSONAL

Mrs J. J. Brosnan and Miss A. Brosnan have returned home, after spending a few days with Mrs T. Creighton, Temuka. Miss J. Whitefield, “Tire Schoolhouse,” ha» left for Central Otago, where she will reside for several months.
