ORARI BRIDGE
COMING-OF-AGE PARTY A very jolly time was spent at a party held in the Orari Bridge Hall to celebrate the coming of age of Miss Edith Waters. The evening was spent in dancing while two songs sung by Miss Meg Grigor (Christchurch) made a pleasing interlude. There were several novelty dances which were won as follows: Lucky chain. Mrs A. Glanville and Mr. M. Cooling; Monte Carlo, Miss Olive Ford and Mr H. Ford; lucky snowball, Miss Ellen Padgett and Mr Clarkson. Mrs Loose (Christchurch) played an extra as well as acting as accompanist. Miss Waters was presented with the customary key by Mr D. Fifield. Mr J. Fifield, senr., proposed the toast of the guest of honour, and Mi' R. Ford replied. Those present were: Mr and Mrs R. Waters, Mr and Mrs A. Glanville, Mr and Mrs J. Tiplady, Mr and Mrs B.
