The market Is nominal, compared with yesterday, which was one of the blackest in the history of the Stock Exchange. The markets are relatively calm. The decision of the committee to fix minimum prices for gilt-edged prevented a repetition of yesterday’s debacle, when prices of Government Stocks retreated before heavy selling pressure. Other markets are virtually at a standstill, mostly weaker. Central | European Bonds slumped heavily. Dealers in the gilt-edged section of the Stock Exchange decided for the time being to quote minimum rflces for dealing In British Funds. The minimum price for war loan is £93.
