CONDITIONS IN TIMARU A welcome change in conditions was experienced yesterday the day being fine and sunny, with a light north-east breeze which later turned to the north-west. Late last night the weather was still mild. Records at Timaru Park yesterday were:— Barometer—29.9o. Max. temp.—sB.6. Min. temp, on grass—29.o. Frost—3degs. Wind—N.E.2. Rainfall—Nil. Sunshine to date last year—lo46.4hrs LN OTHER CENTRES Christchurch: Yesterday was fine, sunny and mild, the maximum temperature being 62.5 degrees. A fresh north-west wind prevailed. The barometer fell slowly to 29.95 inches 'it 5 p.m. Ashburton: Mild weather prevailed yesterday, there being a warm breeze from the north-west. Temuka: Yesterday was fine and warm. The maximum temperature was 55 degrees and the minimum 25. The glass was falling last evening.
