A team from Arno was present at the Waimate shoot to shoot for the Sunshine Shield. This resulted in a win for Amo, 16 men shooting 1220 against Waimate 1214. Johnston 73, P. Newall, H. Mason 72, F. Kingsbury 71. Mr G. Mackenzie’s trophy for the previous weel; was won by F. Carter. The senior button was won by N. Hadler and the junior button by F. Carter. PERSONAL Miss W. Blackgrove, Waimate, has returned from a visit to Auckland. Mrs J. Johnston, Dannevirke, is visiting Waimate. Mr and Mrs N. McKenzie, Waimate, who have been visiting Mrs G. E. Whelch, Akaroa, are now the guests of Mrs J. R. White, Little River.
Mr J. Reid, of the Roxburgh staff of the Bank of New Zealand and formerly of Waimate, has received notice of his transfer to Geraldine.
