ANNUAL BALL
REDCLIFF SPINSTERS AND BACHELORS There was a large attendance at the Redcliff spinsters’ and bachelors’ ball. The energetic committee headed by Miss Mary Turnbull and Mr Lindsay, had spared no efforts to make the function a success, and their efforts were well rewarded. The decorative scheme was carried out in streamers of green and pink. A Waimate orchestra provided music and extras were played by Miss F. Turner and Mr T. Hamilton. Mr F. Brown was M.C. Miss M. Ruane and Mr W. Devlin won a lucky spot waltz. A Monte Carlo fox trot was won by Miss N. Cochrane and Mr C. Hanham.
