THE LOWER HOUSE By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, July 14. In the House to-day the various sessional Select Committees were set up. Mr J. A. Roy (Nationalist, Clutha), gave notice to introduce the Lower Clutha River Empowering Bill. The Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Bill (Mr C. H. Chapman) was read a first time and referred to the Local Bills Committee. Three days’ leave of absence was granted to the Hon. Sir Apirana Ngata on account of a bereavement in his family.
