RAII AV A Y SU R FACEMAN John Smith, single, aged 49. a surfaceman employed on track maintenance work by the Railways Department was found dead beside the main line on the Orari-Temuka section yesterday. The body of Smith, who resided in Geraldine, was brought to Temuka. and an inquest will be held to-day before the District Coroner, Mr H. Morgan. ARREST MADE THEFT OF MONEY ALLEGED Smart work by the police resulted in the arrest at Geraldine yesterday of a man on a charge of alleged theft of a sum of money.
