WINTER SHOW

Fixture Concluded Cups Presented Large Attendances The curtain was rung down on the 1933 Industrial Exhibition and Winter Show on Saturday night. The attendance in the alternoon, when Aunt Pat, of 3YA, the children’s favourite, was present, was the largest of the week. Proceedings, which- included a children’s fancy dress parade, were of an enthusiastic nature, and demonstrated the wisdom of featuring attractions for the younger people, who induce their parents to take an interest in the fixture. Looking back over the week, it can be said that while the attendances on the whole did not come up to those of previous shows, the public took an inteligent interest in all sections of the show, which fully served the purpose for which it was arranged. Town and country interests co-operated in perfecting the arrangements and conducting the many programmes which made up the week, and the spirit of helpfulness was the main factor in the success achieved.

At the concluding ceremony in the evening, the president, Mr B. L. Blodorn, expressed appreciation of the efforts of all concerned, and from other remarks made it seems clear that much valuable experience has been gained from this year's show.
