SCHOOLBOYS’ RUGBY Tw l’-i! by teams from the Ashburton primary chool visited Waimate on Saturday to meet teams from the Waimate primary school. Honours re even, both schools winning one game. Acheson and Mrs Acheson, Miss Buckingham was presented with a beautifully bound prayer bock from the mothers and teachers of the Anglican kindergarten. of which she was superintendent lor three and a-half years. The Brownie pack presented her with an etching attractively trained, the Misses Hurst gave her a breakfast set and book and the Badminton Club a dressing case. On the eve of her departure a number of friends gathered at her home and presented her with a pair of kid gloves and wished her every success and happiness in the future.
