Jimmi opened the throttle to the full and the bomber sped through the air at 350 miles an hour, the following planes gained upon them slowly and a puff of smoke arose from the bow of the leading pursuer to oe followed by an explosion about seventy yards to one side of the bomber which made her rock violently. Fergy trained the after gun upon the approaching planes -and signalled to Jimmi Lekki who swung the bomber off her course just in the nick of time as two shells exploded. (To be continued).
