New Routing Tried Out
The new routing was tried at Highfield for two week-ends, after which the committee decided to revert to the old course. It is believed that another proposal is on foot and may be tried shortly. Knock Out Singles at Highfield The first round of the Knock Out Singles at Highfield is under way, but so far few matches have been played. The round must be completed on or before June 5. Mackay in Good Form J. L. Mackay, South Canterbury’s first amateur, is revealing good form this season. In spite of the heavy conditions at Highfield Mackay has returned consistently good cards, his latest being a 74 on Saturday. In addition, on Geraldine’s dry course, he posted a course record.
