LIBRARY COMMITTEE Mr J. J. Kenny presided at the monthly meeting of the Public Library. Also present were: Messrs C. R. Hanmer, J. S. Smith. D. Alexander, S. McCaughan, A. Kimber. J. Uden. On the motion of Mr Hamner it was decided to hold an art union in aid of the Library funds. The secretary was authorised to make all arrangements. A dance in aid of the funds was left over till the next meeeting of the committee. The chairman said the weekly euchre socials were being well patronised. There was . good attendance at the euchre tournament, held under the auspices of the Library Committee. The prizes were won by Mesdames W. A. Gudsell and J De Renzy and Messrs P. Surridge and John Cripps. Mt J. McIlroy won the draughts tournament. MINIATL'RE RIFLES At the weekly shoot of he men’s Miniature Rifle Club. Mr T. W. D. Munros trophy was won by John Cripps. W.
