PLEASANT VALLEY

GIFT EVENING A gift evening was held in the Pleasant Valley Hall in honour of Mr H. Hill and Miss P. Ellis, whos? marriage will shortly take place. There was a good attendance of residents and friends. On behalf of the residents, Mr M. Brophy extended to the guests best wishes for a happy and prosperous future. Mr G. Martin spoke on behalf of the Miniature Rifle Club, of which Mr Hill is a valuable member, giving much appreciated service as secretary. Mr W. Crotty endorsed the remarks of Mr Brophy and Mr Martin. Before the gifts were handed to the guests. Miss Wilson presented a bouquet to Miss Ellis. Music for the dance was supplied by Mr C. Kelland. extras being played by Mrs J. Sharpe and Miss Nita Crotty. During the evening songs were sung by Mr N. Gale. A novelty dance was won by Miss H. Wilson < Weedons) apd Mr A. Tiplady. Those present included: Mr and Mrs H. Hill.
