COMING-OF-AGE PARTY

In honour of the coming of age of their daughter Mavis, Mr and Mrs W. L. Warne entertained a large number of friends in the Pleasant Valley hall on Tuesday evening. The hall was tastefully decorated with red dahlias and michaelmas daisies. Miss Warne wore a frock of floral organdl with a gold coatee. She also wore a golden key the gift of her parents. The toast to the guest of honour was proposed by Mr Herbert Polhill, Mr W. L. Warne responding on behalf of his daughter. Novelty dances were won by Miss M. Horgan and Mr H. McLeon, Miss Joan Brophy and Mr R. Smith. Music was supplied by Mr C. Kelland, extras being played by Miss E. Gregan, Miss E. Trumper. Mr T. Mayne and Mr O. Heney. Mr J. Leary was master of ceremonies.

Those present included Mr and Mrs W. L. Warne.
