FAREWELL MESSAGES By Telegrapo —Press Association WELLINGTON, March 9. The Governor-General has received the following radio message from Captain R. W. Mathewson of the United States cruiser Louisville: — “On departing from New Zealand the captain and ship's company of the Louisville desire to thank you for yoUr kind greetings of welcome and for the many courtesies extended during our most enjoyable visit. We take with us pleasant memories of our stay, and ail hope soon to have the privilege of an early return." His Excellency has also received the following message from Commandant Auphan, of the French cruiser Jeanne D’Arc: — “On leaving New Zealand waters 1 wish to assure your Excellency of the pleasant memories of their stay carried away by all on board the Jeanne D’Arc, and convey to your Excellency my warmest thanks.”
