ITALIAN GUNS COMMAND CYPRUS United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—CopvrlEht (Received January 10, 7.50 p.m.) LONDON, January 10. “The Dally Telegraph” says: Italy is making Leros in the Dodecanese Islands her main naval and air base in the Mediterranean. Italy has installed heavy artillery and underground oil and petrol tanks. Usually there is a large flotilla of submarines in the harbour.
"The Dally Telegraph” adds that Leros commands Cyprus and is within easy reach of the Suez Canal and Palestine.
