■> TOMATO SOUP FOR i ;i; bottling ;j; 41b tomatoes, 1 stalk ot celery, <. J 1 small onion (sliced), 6 pepper- f corns, 2 teaspoons salt, 1 bay ? J leaf. Cook ingredients till to- J matoes are tender, then strain. ;i; Boil the pulp till it is reduced J to one half the original amount. J Seal in hot clean jars. The J puree may be bottled without X seasoning.
