BURGLARIES AT HASTINGS By Telegraph—Press Association HASTINGS, January 6. Three business premises in Heretaunga Street were entered last night, but the intruders secured only a small haul, amounting to l/6d in small change and a few pocket knives. They ransacked F. L. Bone’s ironmongery shop, but took nothing of value except knives. The Bon Marche drapery shop was also entered, when the strongroom door was forced. They used explosives on the safe, but were unsuccessful in their effort. A final entry was made at the State Theatre, where loose change was taken from the office.
