FITNESS CAMPAIGN
ATTACKED 3Y KING’S PHYSICIAN United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received January 6, 1.10 a.m.) LONDON, January 5. Sir Farquhar Buzzard, the King's physician, attacked the Government s physical fitness campaign while addressing the Headmasters’ Association annual meeting in London. He said a moving ball game, played in the open field, had many advantages over gymnastics and physical exercises under cover. Games taught the player to make rapid adjustments to changing surroundings on his own initiative.
"There can be no doubt as to the value of such training, and . should rely on that as the best foundation for physical fitness.”
