REDUCED SUPPLIES TO BRITAIN British Official Wireless (Received January 5, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, January 5. The Government has decided, provided voluntary arrangements can be made with the principal foreign supplying countries, to reduce the exports to Britain of ham and bacon preserved in airtight containers, which operate satisfactorily. The Government did not adopt the recommendations made by the Import Duties Advisory Committee, that the existing general ad valorem duties be increased from 10 to 20 per cent.
