The Rev. W. T. Drake, vicar of St. Peter’s Church, Waipawa, has been appointed vicar of St. Matthew’s Church, Hastings, in succession to Canon C. Mortimer Jones, who has accepted the living at St. Mary’s Church, Waipukurau.
The Very Rev. Father Owen F. Dudley, Superior of the Catholic Missionary Society, widely known as a lecturer and novelist, has accepted an invitation to take part in the New Zealand Roman Catholic centennial congress at Auckland in February. He will reach Auckland by the Rangitiki on February 10 from England, and will spend about two months in the Dominion.
