KING AS FARMER
TO REVIVE TRADITION LONDON. November 20 Reversing the policy of his predecessor. the King has decided to farm the 1200 acres of valuable land at Sandringham. A number of short leases granted by King Edward VIII during Ills brief reign will expire next year. King George decided not to renew the leases during his recent visit to Sandringham It is his desire to carry on Sandringham as it was in his father’s days, and he intends to make the land pay under his control. More than 100 workers who were taken over by the lessees will return to the royal service.
