PLEASANT VALLEY
PERSONAL Mr and Mrs E. Bailey, who spent the week-end with Mr and Mrs Bailey, Pleasant Valley, left on Monday for Port Levy. LARGE EEL CAUGHT A large eel which has evaded capture for some time was caught over the week-end by a school boy, while eeling in the Te Moana river at Pleasant Valley. The eel, which weighed 231 b, Was found to contain three trout, one of which was 12 inches long. The eel was sft. lin. long. TENNIS DANCE The Pleasant Valley Tennis Club held its last dance of the year on Saturday night. There was a very good attendance, and the new court fund will benefit accordingly. Music was supplied by an orchestra, and Mr T. Robinson was M.C. During the evening extras were played by Mr D. Heney and Mr Collins. A novelty dance was won by Miss M. Webb and Mr McCoombs.
