FAST RIDING ON MOTOR-CYCLE United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 29, 9.15 p.m.) FRANKFURT-ON-MAIN, Nov. 29. Ernst Henne created a world record for a kilometre, covering the distance in 12.28 seconds, at the rate of 173.67 miles an hour. He rode a 500 c.c. B.M.W. motor-cycle, with a streamlined body, leaving the rider’s head tree. Henne also established records for five kilometres, ridden in 66.5 seconds (168.06 miles an hour), and five miles in 112.18 seconds (160.45 miles an hour), all from flying starts.
