BIRTHDAY PARTY
MISS M. C. LUNHAM HONOURED Mr and Mrs H. J. D. Lunham, of Southburn, held a party in their granary on Saturday night, in honour of the twenty-first birthday of their elder daughter, Margaret. There was a large attendance of friends and relatives. Dancing and items filled in the greater part of the evening, songs being given by Miss M. Dennehy, Mrs H. Arden, Mr W. Woodward and Mr Lunham. Dance music was supplied by Miss TE. Arden, Miss W. Arden, Messrs Shalders, E. Borman, H. Smith and H. Clarkson. Miss Dennehy andyMr Woodward won a lucky spot waltz. Mr H. Arden was master of ceremonies. A number of speakers referred to the great popularity of the guest of the evening, and expressed their pleasure in being able to wish her good luck in the future. After supper, Mr Lunham presented his daughter with the symbolical key. Those who spoke were Messrs H. Arden, H. Cross, R. Simmonds, H. Clarkson and W. Woodward. Mr and Mrs Lunham and Margaret suitably replied.
