TRIALS AT LYTTELTON By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, November 27. The first trial for the selectioon of a crew and boat to represent Canterbury In the Sanders Cup was sailed on Lyttelton Harbour this afternoon in a strong north-east breeze and a moderate sea. Huia (K. Hendry) finished first, 50 seconds ahead of Manihi (G. Brasell). The other boats were Avenger (R. Priddy) and Elfin (W. Tissiman). By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, November 28. The following are leading boats in the Sanders Cup trials held on Wellington harbour during the week-end: Kitty, two wins and one third; Lauchlan’s Jewel, one first, one second and one third; Vanguard, two seconds and one third. By Telegraph—Prese Association DUNEDIN, November 28. The third Sanders Cup trial on Saturday was again virtually contested by Eileen, Vai and Lynette, though there were five other starters. Lynette, well handled by Pettit, won by six seconds from Vai, with Eileen thirteen seconds away third. These three boats have now won one trial each. /
