CANINE “FIND”
DEBUT IN “OWD BOB” Storm, a twenty - months - old black Alsatian, makes his film debut in “Owd Bob,” now in production. In response to an advertisement for a strong, ferocious-looking dog, Storm was taken along to the studio to be put through his paces, and his intelligence and obedience to all commands so captivated the studio executives that he was given the role of Black Wull, Will Fyffe’s savage dog and constant companion. Already he has become attached to Will Fyffe; he seems to know that his screen master is hated by everyone and to sense the bond of sympathy that is implicit between them. Every movement of the other actors is carefully watched during the rehearsals and by the time Black Wull has to do his bit, it seems as though he knew it already. Storm has the makings of a film star. He has won prizes all over the country for beauty and obedience, and, though this is his first film part, he has displayed no sign of camera-consciousness.
