Amusement, however, turned to consternation when the masqueraders herded the train crew and passengers together at the point of a gun. The robbers were later disclosed to be tyros who nervously shot dead a trainman when he made a false move. The passengers then leaped on the youths and so severely thrashed them that both are likely to die.
