WEST END CLUB The West End Swimming Club held its weekly series of events on Tuesday evening. The weather was favourable and there was a large attendance of members and Interested spectators. SOUTH END CLUB At the weekly swim of the South End Swimming Club held in the Century Baths last night, there was an unusually large attendance. The following were the results:— Junior Boys, 25 yards—R. Findlay 1, W. Smith 2, J. Fowler 3. Four started. Junior Girls, across baths—B. Conlon 1, B. Wyatt 2, B. Flannigan 3. Eight started. Intermediate Women, 33 1-3 yards— J. Wyatt 1, J. Griffiths 2, E. Beynon 3. Senior Men, 100 yards—G, Griffiths 1, C. Griffiths 2, C. de Clifford 3. Owing to repairs being carried out to the boards, there was no diving held. Carnival Postponed At a committee meeting held after the swimming events, it was decided to postpone the proposed carnival until January as It was thought there was not enough time to prepare the carnival for December 11. It was arranged that members of the club be present at the Century Baths each Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. to help teach any person desiring to learn to swim. This arrangement is in connection with the learn to swim week.
