JEAN BATTEN WARMLY PRAISED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 24, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, November 24. “Our modern Brunhilde” was the epithet Lord Londonderry applied to Jean Batten at the annual banquet if the City Livery Club at which Miss Batten was the guest. He added: “Her splendid achievements have been indelibly and eternally written on all the records of aviation.”
