SNOW IN ENGLAND
COLDEST NOVEMBER DAY FOR FOURTEEN YEARS British Official Wireless (Received November 23, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, November 22. Although there was bright sunshine over most of England, London lay under a thick pall of fog yesterday, which was the coldest November day for fourteen years. There was a widespread shipping hold-up to the week-end in the Thames Estuary the North Sea, and the Channel. Roads ta many parts of the country were icebound, and road traffic was impeded by snow, which fell ta several districts.
