Mr D. E. Wankiyn, formerly treasurer of the New Zealand Cricket Council, lias been appointed chairman of the Management Committee of the Council in succession to Mr A. T. Donnelly, who recently retired.
Mr F. I. Thomson, Town Clerk of Milton, has declined the appointment as Town Clerk of Northcote, Auckland, and the position has been given to Mr Gordon McMillan Kilham, assistant County Clerk at Waitomo, Te Kuiti, for the last three years.

Mr D. J. Gibson, who has been service officer of the Automobile Association (Canterbury) in the Ashburton district for the last 18 months, will leave at the end of the month to take up the position of service officer for the Association in the Westland district.
Mr F. V. Piper, manager of the Gore branch of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Ltd., has been appointed manager of the Ashburton branch of the company and will take up his duties within the next few days. Before going to Gore, Mr Piper was for a number of years manager of the company’s Oamaru branch.
The conference of the Post and Telegraph Employees’ Association elected the following officers: President, Mr G. A. Wilkes (Oamaru); executive committee, Messrs 8. Mather (Auckland), T, Falconer (Hastings), J, Churchill (Wellington), W. Huntingdon (Palmerston North), H. J. Palmer (Dunedin), J. Oliver (Timaru), W- Cummins (Wellington) aiid J. McLay (Napier).
