He broke the record by 6 hours 45 minutes. The air racers, Codos and Reine, reached Dakar, West Africa, at 6.25 a.m. on Sunday, en route to Buenos /ires from Le Bourget, taking off again for Natal at 9 a.m.
FLIGHT FAILS REDUCED TO EASY STAGES United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 23. 6.30 p.m.) BASRA, November 22. Christian Moenche abandoned the attempt on the record and is flying to Saigon in easy stages. On Sunday the airman Christian Moenche started on an attempt to break Andre Japy's record for the flight from France to Indo-Chlna. His destination is Saigon.
