WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
TE NGAWAI There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Te Ngawai Women’s Institute. The Christmas party was discussed and it was decided to hold it with a dance to follow on December 17. The Burnett scheme was discussed but it was decided not to grant any support. The competitions, judged by Mrs Taylor and Mrs Cain resulted as follows—Laundered serviette: Miss Z. Elliott 1, Miss P. Howes 2. Jar of flowers (1 shade): Miss Z. Elliott 1, Miss D. Cooling and Miss M. Morrison 2. 3 water biscuits: Miss Z. Elliott 1, Miss N. Howes 2.
