BRITISH STEAMER DETAINED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 21. 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, November 20. The Admiralty announces that the destroyer Greyhound brought the London steamer African Mariner from the Eastern Mediterranean to Malta to be searched under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1936, prohibiting British ships carrying munitions to Spain. The vessel was taken over by the port authorities on her arrival.
