SOUTH CANTERBURY CENTRE BRISTOL CUP The second round of the knockout bowling competition for the Bristol Cup was played on Saturday afternoon. West Ei.d eliminated Ashbury by 172 points to 138, and Kia Toa accounted for Hlghfleld by 173- points to 145. CENTRE VISITS PARK CLUB. Members of the South Canterbury Bowling Centre commenced a round of visits to affiliated Clubs on Thursday evening when a very pleasant evening was enjoyed at the Park Club. A three rink mntch was played, and after the game the Park Club entertained the Centre, and a social hour was spent discussing matters of interest to the Park Club and bowling in general. The efforts being made to make the Christmas tournament more attractive, were emphasised by the president, Mr J. B. Rob L-son. The entry fee had been reduced, and all players were assured of more games than in former tournaments, and he urged members of the club to give the Centre their support.
