BRIGADIER-GENERAL W. G. BRAITHWAITE
United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph Copyright (Received October 18, 945 p.m ) LONDON, October 17. The death has occurred of Bri-gadier-General William Garnett Braithwaite, C. 8., C.MG„ D.S.O. Bri-gadier-General Braithwaite who was born in 1870 entered the army, after leaving Sandhurst, in 1891. He was a captain in 1899, major in 1910, Lleut.Colonel in 1916, Brigadier-Colonel in 1917 and was General Staff Officer New Zealand Military Forces from 1911 to 1914. He served in the South African and Great War and was a brigade commander from 1915 to 1920. He retired in 1925.
