MINING CRISIS
FEARS OF EXTENSION OF STRIKES United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright (Received October 18, 10.25 p,m.) SYDNEY, October 18. The Central Council of the Miners’ Federation has given authority to the State Executive to extend the strikes at the John Darling and Burwood Collieries, which are controlled by the Broken Hill Proprietary. Arrangements are being made to bring about a “united front.”
