TENNIS PLAYER AFFIANCED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copyright PRAGUE, October 4. The tennis player, Roderich Menzel, is affianced to Erika Murdinger, of Bohemia.
To perpetuate the memory of Miss Margaret Lynth, founder and principal of St. Andrew’s Collegiate School, Dunedin, the St. Andrew’s Collegiate School Ex-pupils’ Club, on behalf of the ex-pupils of the college have presented to the Board of Governors of Otago Girls’ High School, a cheque for £42/10/- for the endowment of a prize for English literature. The prize is to be known as the Margaret Smyth Memorial and to be awarded annually to the pupil of the senior school showing the greatest appreciation of the subject.
