PLANS'TO IMPROVE RUGBY SOUTH AFRICAN OBSERVATIONS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, October 5. Before the Springboks left for Melbourne, Mr Nel expressed the opinion that New Zealand and Australian Rugby unions would be wise to adopt the International rule for all their football, so that they would not find those rules strange when they came to play international matches. Mr Nel added that he considered Australia would have a good chance of beating New Zealand next year, specially if the right forwards were chosen—men who would regard gaining possession of the ball as’ their first objective, and would not run about too much in the loose.
