CONDITIONS IN TIMARU Brilliant sunshine and a cool breeze from the sea combined to provide ideal weather yesterday. Records at Timaru Park yesterday were:— Barometer—29.92. Max. temp.—6l.4. Min. temp, on grass—29.2. Frost —2.8 degrees. Wind—E.N.E.l. Rainfall—Nil. Rainfall to date this year—l6.7Bins. Rainfall to date last year—22.B2in. Sunshine —11.2 hours. Sunshine to date this year—l2B6.9 hours. IN OTHER CENTRES Christchurch—The weather was fine and sunny yesterday with a fresh north-east breeze. The barometer was steady and read 30.106 inches at 5 p.m. Ashburton—The weather yesterday was again fine and sunny. The sky was cloudless in the morning and there was a light northerly wind, which was slightly cool. Another sharp frost of 5.6 degrees was recorded. Geraldine—Air temperatures, minimum 35, maximum 75, at 9 a.m. 60. Bright sunshine throughout the day. Temuka—Bright sunshine prevailed yesterday. At sunset the glass was steady. The maximum temperature was 64 degrees. Waimate (for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday)—Thermometer, maximum 62.5, minimum 37; frost, 7 degrees; bright sunshine, 11 hours 6 minutes; wind gauge, miles run in last 24 hours, 56. Yesterday was bright and sunny with a cool breeze in evidence. Dunedin—The weather yesterday was fine with bright sunshine and the temperature reached a maximum of 67 degrees.
